Compassion4Community

GROW OUR MEAL PROGRAM

We are Compassion 4 Community (C4C), a passionate, volunteer-driven organisation dedicated to fighting food insecurity and homelessness in our vibrant community. Since 2020, we’ve provided over 400 nutritious meals weekly, along with essential items, creating a safe and welcoming space for individuals and families experiencing hardship. This Community Kickstart Grant will be transformative, enabling us to purchase vital new equipment to enhance our meal preparation and distribution, ensuring even more delicious and high-quality support reaches those in need. It will also empower us to expand our cherished Christmas Day Community Lunch, bringing joy and connection to many who might otherwise feel forgotten.link With your vote, we can continue to uplift, empower, and nourish lives, building a stronger, more compassionate community for everyone.

Nundah State School Community Hub Australia

Adult Bike Class Program

We are the Nundah State School Community Hub, a vibrant heart within our school that actively fosters connection, learning, and well-being for all. We’re confidently building a more inclusive and resilient community through a diverse range of programs, from dance sessions to English classes. The Community Kickstart Grant will be instrumental in expanding our incredibly successful adult bike class program, allowing us to continue offering a safe and supportive environment for 30-40 adults, including many new migrant arrivals, to gain vital cycling skills and confidence. This energetic initiative will not only boost physical and mental well-being but also significantly enhance independence and economic participation, empowering participants to explore their community with newfound freedom and joy.

headspace Nundah

ELEVATE OUR YOUTH INITIATIVES

headspace Nundah provides early intervention mental health services to young people aged 12-25, offering support across mental health, physical health, substance use, and work/study. With a youth-led, community-driven model, we aim to deliver inclusive community events, group programs, and workshops tailored to priority populations such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, LGBTIQA+, CALD, and young men. The Community Kickstart Grant will fund these initiatives, covering resources, cultural activities, and promotional materials. These programs are designed to build social connection and resilience, celebrate diversity, strengthen family support, and reduce stigma around mental health. Specific activities include co-designed cultural events with Elders, Diverse City programs for LGBTIQA+ youth, partnerships with multicultural organisations, and MateSpace for young men.
